About the role
We are looking for a Web Designer to own the web pages our customers put in front of their own audiences: landing pages, service-business sites, booking and sign-up pages, blogs and storefronts. You will take each brief from first sketch to a polished, responsive page that is ready to publish.
BerryBell’s agents can generate a page in minutes. What makes it a good page is taste: hierarchy, spacing, type, colour and the words on it. This role suits a designer who cares about the finished page, not only the mockup, and who enjoys working close to customers and engineers to get it live.
What you’ll do
- ✓Design customer-facing web pages end to end, from landing pages and service-business sites to booking, sign-up and storefront pages.
- ✓Turn each customer’s brief, brand and goals into a clear page structure, a visual direction and layouts that hold up with real content.
- ✓Design every page to work on desktop, tablet and mobile, with sensible breakpoints, tap targets and image handling.
- ✓Take designs through to production: work with engineers and BerryBell’s builder to get the page live, then review it against the design and refine it until it is right.
- ✓Build and maintain reusable sections plus type, colour and spacing systems, so each new customer page starts further ahead than the last.
- ✓Design for accessibility, speed and search: readable contrast, a logical heading structure, visible focus states and lightweight imagery.
- ✓Run customer feedback and revisions to a clear scope, and know when a page is done.
What success looks like
Customers publish pages they are proud of, after only a few rounds of revision. Every page looks intentional on every screen size, loads quickly and is easy to use. Your sections and systems get reused, so each new page takes less time than the last.
What we’re looking for
- A portfolio of shipped web work: live pages or sites, plus a couple of case studies that show your process and exactly what you designed.
- Strong visual design fundamentals: layout, typography, colour, spacing and hierarchy.
- Fluency in Figma or a comparable tool, including components, variants and auto layout.
- Experience designing responsive, mobile-first web pages, and a working understanding of how HTML and CSS behave in the browser.
- A practical grasp of accessibility (contrast, headings, focus states) and of how page speed and SEO shape design decisions.
- Clear written and spoken communication: you can explain a design decision, take feedback well and agree scope with customers.
- Good judgement about when a page is done, and the self-direction to manage several customer projects in a small remote team.
Nice to have
- Experience shipping pages in a no-code, low-code or AI builder, or handing designs off to front-end code.
- Comfort writing and editing the words on the page: headlines, calls to action and microcopy.
- Basic illustration, motion or photography skills for tasteful, lightweight visuals.
- Freelance or agency client work, or experience building brand systems for small businesses and startups.
How to apply
Email career@berrybell.ai with:
- Your portfolio. A link to live pages, a Figma file or case studies of web pages you designed. Tell us which parts were yours.
- Your CV or LinkedIn profile. Whichever is easier to share.
- A short note. Why this role interests you.
We would rather see three pages you are proud of than thirty you are not.
