Lovable pricing 2026: plans, credits, free plan
Lovable has a Free plan, Pro from $25 a month, Business from $50 a month and a custom-priced Enterprise plan. Pro and Business come in credit tiers from 100 to 10,000 credits a month, and yearly billing gives two months free, so Pro starts at $21 a month. One credit balance pays for building your app, chatting with Lovable, hosting the app on Lovable Cloud and the AI features inside it.
Every figure below comes from Lovable’s pricing page and its docs on plans, credits and changing or cancelling, checked on 18 October 2026. Prices are in US dollars and change often, so check Lovable’s site before you buy.

Lovable doesn’t charge per seat: Pro and Business include unlimited users, who share the workspace’s credits.

These are monthly prices on monthly billing. Up to 800 credits, every tier costs the same per credit; from 1,200 up, Lovable labels the tiers with savings of 2% to 10% on Pro and 2% to 14% on Business. Yearly billing gives two months free: $250 a year for the 100-credit Pro tier and $500 for Business.
What do you get on each Lovable plan?
- Free: unlimited collaborators, private projects, Git sync with GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket, publishing to invited people only, 5 lovable.app domains and Lovable Cloud.
- Pro: adds custom domains, editing and downloading your code, removing the “Edit with Lovable” badge, user roles and permissions, per-member credit limits, credit rollovers, top-ups and design systems.
- Business: adds SSO, role-based access, personal projects inside a team workspace, internal publishing to your workspace, design templates, the security center, the Lovable API and priority support, and keeps your workspace’s data out of AI model training by default.
- Enterprise: adds SCIM, audit logs, scheduled security scans, EU inference and a named customer success manager, on volume-based pricing.
Is Lovable free?
Yes, and you don’t need a credit card. The Free plan gives you:
- 5 build credits a day, up to 30 a month. Once you’ve had 30 in a calendar month, the daily credits stop until the 1st.
- A daily chat allowance for Chat mode and Lovable’s Chats, which doesn’t touch your build credits until it runs out.
- Monthly grants of 20 credits for Cloud (hosting and the backend), 4 for AI features in your app and 1 for connectors. Lovable describes these grants as a temporary offer.
Free projects can use Git sync and Lovable Cloud and publish to a lovable.app address. Custom domains, editing or downloading the code, removing the badge and buying top-ups all need Pro.
Is Lovable free for students? Not free, but verified students and teachers get 50% off Pro (the 100-credit tier, billed monthly) for up to 12 months. You verify with an academic email address while your workspace is on Free, and each person can use the discount once.
How do Lovable credits work?
Lovable meters five kinds of usage from one balance:
- Build: Plan mode and Build mode messages, plus the images and videos Lovable generates. A Plan mode message costs 1 credit, plus any research it runs. Build mode is priced on the work done; Lovable’s own examples are 0.50 credits to make a button gray, 0.90 to remove a footer, 1.20 to add authentication and 2.00 to build a landing page with images.
- Chat: messages in Chat mode and in Chats, typically a fraction of a credit each, paid first from the daily chat allowance. Lovable says this chat pricing is temporary and applies through 31 October 2026.
- Cloud: hosting and the built-in backend, meaning database, storage, network, compute and realtime.
- AI gateway: the AI features your published app uses, such as calls to AI models.
- Connectors: connectors that Lovable manages and bills, such as Perplexity and Firecrawl.
The included grants are spent first, then the general credits closest to expiry. On long Build mode runs, Lovable pauses to check in each time a message passes 20 credits; you can change that level, and the feature is in beta.
Do Lovable credits roll over?
On Pro and Business, yes. Unused monthly credits roll over while your subscription is active, but each month’s credits still expire two months after they’re issued (on yearly billing, one month after the yearly term ends). Daily credits and the monthly grants don’t roll over, and top-up credits last 12 months.
If you cancel and drop to Free, your unused monthly and rollover credits are frozen, and you get them back only if you resubscribe before they expire. Top-up and bonus credits stay usable on Free.
What does it cost to run an app on Lovable?
Hosting comes out of the same credits. Your published app’s database, storage, network traffic, compute and realtime updates count as Cloud usage, paid first from the monthly 20-credit Cloud grant and then from your general credits, and AI features in the app draw on the 4-credit AI grant first. What you spend depends on traffic, stored data and the size of your database instance, which paid plans can raise.
If your balance reaches zero, building stops, AI features in your published apps stop working, and the built-in backend (database, storage and sign-in) pauses shortly afterwards. Your data is kept, but you can’t reach it until the backend runs again. Auto top-up on Pro or Business prevents that.
How much are Lovable credit top-ups?
On Pro, top-ups cost $15 per 50 credits ($0.30 a credit); on Business, $30 per 50 credits ($0.60 a credit). Each top-up lasts 12 months, and you can buy them one at a time or set up auto top-up with a monthly spending limit. If you need more credits every month, Lovable itself says moving up a tier is usually better value.
Lovable Pro vs Business
Business costs twice as much as Pro at every credit tier: $50 against $25 for 100 credits. Lovable puts that down to the advanced controls and governance features Business adds, such as SSO, role-based access, internal publishing, design templates, the security center, the Lovable API and priority support. If you work alone, or in a small team that doesn’t need SSO, Pro is the plan to compare.
Is Lovable worth paying for?
Pay for Pro when you need something Free doesn’t do: your own domain, editing or downloading the code, removing the badge, or more than 30 build credits a month. Once your app is live, also count the Cloud usage it draws from the same balance as it grows, and set usage limits and alerts (available on every paid plan) so a busy month doesn’t surprise you. Staying on Free costs nothing while you find out whether Lovable builds what you need.
How can you get Lovable cheaper?
- Pay yearly. Two months are free: $250 a year instead of $300 for the 100-credit Pro tier.
- Use the free daily credits. Pro and Business also get 5 build credits a day, with no monthly cap, and they’re spent before your monthly credits.
- Plan before you build. A Plan mode message costs 1 credit and a chat message typically a fraction of one, so settle what you want before a Build mode run does the work.
- Choose a bigger tier over repeated top-ups. Pro top-ups cost $0.30 a credit, while credits inside a Pro tier cost $0.25 or less.
- Ask about the student discount. Students and teachers get 50% off the 100-credit Pro tier for up to 12 months.
- Set limits. Paid plans can cap credits per member, per project or for the whole workspace.
- Pause projects you don’t use, so idle apps stop drawing Cloud usage.
Is Lovable better than Bolt?
They’re metered differently, so compare what each plan includes rather than the headline price. Both start free, and both first paid plans cost $25 a month. Lovable’s Pro gives you 100 credits a month; Bolt’s Pro starts at 10 million tokens a month, with no daily limit and unused tokens rolling over. Bolt’s free plan has a daily limit of 300,000 tokens and 1 million tokens a month, with Bolt branding on your sites. Does Lovable make a profit?
Lovable is a private company and hasn’t published profit figures, so there’s no public answer. What is public is its pricing, and that’s what decides whether it’s worth it for you.
How does Lovable’s pricing compare with BerryBell?
At entry level, BerryBell isn’t cheaper: both start free, and both Pro plans begin at $25 a month for 100 credits, or $21 a month billed yearly. The differences are in how the plans work.
